About Danny
The first time Danny saw a computer was sometime in the mid seventies. Having grown up in a world of mechanical typewriters this event changed his life.
In 1979 his parents spent a half year income on one of the first “personal” computers.
This TRS-80, equipt with 2 floppy drives and printer, became one of his favourites toys.

Educational Technology
In the late 80s Danny studied Computer Science.
He continued his career at the research center of the university and thus became one of the multimedia and Internet pioneers in the Netherlands working on Gopher systems before, in 1993, the WWW shifted the educational world into Hyperdrive.
Together with colleagues he ad-hoc covered the dutch flood evacuations of 1995 with up to date internet news coverage when dutch media still stuck to paper and CNN Television (they had no website) made the world think the Netherlands was flooded.
All through the 90s he worked in the eLearning industry and shared knowledge with professionals around the world (AWARE community)
AWARE Worldtrip
In 2004 he sent out 1600 emails in preparation for his AWARE 2004/2005 Worldtrip and received invitations from people in all continents (except the Arctic)
Back in the real world he continued working with eLearning tools and “upgraded” from Microsoft Business/SharePoint consultant to CTO/IT manager.
